Ficus lyrata is commonly known as a fiddle leaf fig due to its striking large glossy leaves which resemble a fiddle. It is native to West Africa. It doesn’t like to be moved around so ensure it is kept in the same position.
Position
Thrives in bright indirect light- avoid full sun as it will scorch the leaves. Avoid a dark corner as this can cause leaf drop.
Temperature
Warm room temperature 16-25c and avoid cold draughts.
Watering
Allow the top third of the compost to dry out between watering. Do not overwater as it will cause root rot.
Humidity
Can tolerate lower humidity levels they thrive with some humidity and appreciate their leaves misting.
