Little Kathy is a familiar and much-loved part of the Plantology team, bringing both creativity and warmth to everything she does. Her journey with flowers began at just 14, when she completed her work experience with Jill, quickly falling in love with the world of floristry. She stayed on for six years, helping out on Saturdays and during busy periods, and has recently returned to Plantology part-time, where she’s been back for the past six months.
What Kathy enjoys most about her role is the wonderful team she works with and the chance to be creative every day, no two days are ever the same. She has a soft spot for colourful and unusual orchids, which often inspire her work.
Her favourite designs are wild, cute bouquets, reflecting her natural style: colourful, rustic, and full of character. Whether she’s assisting in the shop or out delivering flowers, Kathy hopes every arrangement she’s part of makes someone feel truly loved and appreciated.
Outside of work, Kathy is known for baking wonderfully over-the-top cakes, think plenty of cream and chocolate, which are always a hit at staff birthdays. And when she’s not baking or working with flowers, you’ll likely find her spending time with her chaotic (but adorable) goldendoodle, Mr Pickles.
